IVCC is the solution to automatically keep the material
between the first two cylinders of a calender
Constant
in terms of the total quantity, and
Homogeneous
in terms of its distribution between the stock guides.
The system is based on thermography to ensure a perfect
regulation of the system with any PVC color, any type
of illumination (daylight, or artificial), and in presence
of vapours. The IR camera simplifies the settings and
the user interface related to image capture and image
processing.
The system architecture is open, and it may be adapted
to the specific needs of any calendering line. Typical
controlled variables are the speed of the extruder and
the lengths of the pauses of the calender wig-wag conveyor
(left, centre, right).
